Glenn Troxel Obituary

Glenn W. Troxel, 67, of Nashua, NH and formerly from Reading, PA. Passed away at his home on Sunday, February 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.  He was the beloved husband of Kristie A. (Peters) Troxel with whom he shared over twenty years together.

Born in Reading, PA on June 10, 1957, he was the son of the late Robert and Loretta (Ney) Troxel.  He was the 1975 Valedictorian of Wilson High School. He then attended Lehigh University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Metallurgy). 

He had a passion for baseball his entire life; he is the record holder at his college for the most triple's hit in one game. Glenn was an avid sports fan; whether it was baseball, football or March madness, he was always ready to watch the game. He also belonged to many ten pin bowling teams throughout the years. He and Kristie also enjoyed their many trips to Las Vegas.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed for 36 years as an engineer by Carpenter Technology.

Surviving him in addition to his wife Kristie are his step-children, Joshua Matte and his wife Kelley, Julia Catino and her husband Pino, Chad Matte and his fiancé Kayleigh Ivey; he was a proud Papa to his grandchildren Liam Matte, Pino Catino and Ophelia Catino; a sister and brother-in-law, Debra Troxel Kasper and her husband Donald; a niece, Kristen Steigerwalt and her husband Peter and their son Blair; a nephew, Daniel Kasper and his wife Hailey and their son Wesley; mother-in-law, Donna “Meme” Peters; two sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Tracey and Bruce Edwards and Julie and Dan Nickerson. He was also the brother-in-law of the late William Peters. Along with many more nieces and nephews. He also leaves his faithful yorkie princess Sophie.

In accordance with family wishes, there will be a private service.  Funeral Services and burial will take place privately in Lowell Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers those wishing, may make a donation in his memory to Hilarity For Charity. This charity is a non-profit that provides respite care to caregivers of those who suffer from early onset Alzheimer's Disease. https://wearehfc.org/
