George R. Montbleau
TYNGSBOROUGH – George R. Montbleau, age 85, a longtime resident of Tyngsborough, passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Louise R. (Marcouillier) Montbleau with whom he has been married to for 50 years.
Born in Lowell, on February 22, 1935, he was the son of the late Ralph and Rose Alma (Saucier) Montbleau.
He enlisted into the U.S. Army in 1958 and served until his honorable discharge in 1960.
George was employed by Raytheon as a machinist for over 40 years, having worked most of his career in South Lowell and later in Andover.
He was an uncomplicated man who enjoyed gardening; working in his yard, hosting pool parties, vacationing in Cape Cod and walking on the beach, but it was his family that meant the world to him.
Surviving him in addition to his loving wife Louise are his four children, Cathy Ricard and her husband Brian of Nashua, Daniel Montbleau of Tyngsborough, Jennifer Montbleau and Cynthia Montbleau both of Nashua; two grandchildren, Jessica and Matthew; two sisters, Therese Guernon of CA and Gloria Hickey of Nashua; also several nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Anita Bayrd and Pauline Stead.
According to his wishes, there will be no visitations. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalen Parish, Lakeview Ave., Tyngsborough. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. To ensure everyone’s safety, all those attending will be required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
