George S. Acosta, age 64, a former resident of El Paso, TX, passed away on February 3, 2023, in Lowell, Massachusetts.
Born in El Paso on October 17, 1958, he was a son of the late Humberto and Virginia (Knells) Acosta. He was a graduate of Austin High School.
George was a U.S. Army veteran, Sergeant First Class, who was proud to have served during the Defense of Saudi Arabia, Liberation and Defense of Kuwait, and SWA Cease Fire.
After retiring from the U.S. Army, George joined the U.S. Border Patrol, where he served as a Border Patrol Agent until retirement.
He enjoyed hiking, biking, exploring, socializing with his many friends, and riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by four daughters, Isela Norman of TX and her children, Ichani and Braylon, Jennifer Acosta of ME and her daughter Emmy, Jessica Vasudevan of TN and her husband Rengaraj and their daughter Jaya, and Isabel Hancock of KY and her husband Stuart and their daughter Amelia; a brother Barry Acosta of NV; and a sister Roseann Rodriguez of TX and her children Nicole, Aaron and Danielle.
Relatives and friends are invited to his graveside service to be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, April 21, 2023, at the Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906.
