WESTFORD – Frank G. Kloppenburg, age 80, a longtime resident of Westford and previously of Malden, passed away peacefully at his home on May 6, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife and cherished children after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on August 2, 1944 in Malden, MA, he was a son of the late George A. and Virginia A. (Shea) Kloppenburg. Frank was a graduate of Malden Vocational High School and served in the Army National Guard. In 1964 he married his high school sweetheart and soulmate Theresa (Mercurio) Kloppenburg and together they built a wonderful life filled with many adventures.
Frank spent over 60 years working for the Davidson Family, first as Production Manager for Babcock-Davis Hatchways then later as a Sales Manager. Once the Company was sold, he continued as the Manager of Property Operations for Davidson Management.
Frank was a skilled craftsman and mechanic, restoring cars and building the very house he lived in. Truly a jack of all trades. He found great joy in traveling (especially to Aruba), attending car shows, water skiing, snowmobiling, and spending time with family and friends. A true Elvis and classic car enthusiast, devoted husband and father, and very proud papa. His family was his life, and he treasured every moment spent together. He was always there when people needed him and will be remembered not only for the life he lived but for the many lives he touched along the way.
Surviving him in addition to his loving wife are three children, Frank Kloppenburg, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Townsend, Diane Chandonait and her husband Glen of Lee, ME, and Lisa Vincent and Her husband John of Tyngsborough; nine grandchildren, Brandon, Adam, Tyler and Hope Kloppenburg, Nathan, Jason and Michelle Chandonait and Melissa and Julie Vincent; two step-grandchildren, Kendra and Eric; a great grandchild, Kohen; a sister, Anne Geagan and her husband Bill of Westford; a brother, Jack Kloppenburg and his wife Jean of Hollis, NH; and nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Visitations will be held on Friday, May 9, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME, 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough.
