Frances (Bissonnette) (Sweeney) Busby

Frances R. (Bissonnette) (Sweeney) Busby, age 91, a longtime resident of Tyngsborough, passed away peacefully at her home, on Friday, November 29, 2024.  She was the widow of the late Richard Sweeney and the late Robert J. Busby.

Born in Lowell on April 23, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Francis W. and Mabel C. (Sullivan) Bissonnette.  She received her early education from Ste Jeanne d’Arc School and was a graduate of Lowell High School.

Frances was an avid bingo player and was active at both the Tyngsborough and Dracut Senior Centers.  She loved dancing and spending time with family and friends and she was an enthusiastic Boston Bruins fan.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a manager by Anton’s cleaners.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Pilat and her companion Louis Ruiz; three sons, Kevin Sweeney, Raymond Busby and Robert Busby and his companion Janice Smith Urban; her grandchildren, Richard and Loretta Sweeney, James Christman, December Christman, Chelsea Pfister, Justin Pilat, Stefanie Pilat and Kyndra and Jason Kennedy; ten great grandchildren and many dear friends.  She was also the sister of the late Phillip Bissonnette.

Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough on Tuesday, Dec. 3, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.  Her Funeral service will take place immediately following at 12 noon in the Funeral Home.
