Ellen E. (Dresser) Frizzell

Ellen E. (Dresser) Frizzell, age 81, a longtime resident of Lowell, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 28, 2023, with family by her side.  She was the beloved wife of David D. Frizzell, with whom she had shared 60 wonderful years of marriage.

She was born in Boston on December 21, 1941, daughter of the late Joseph and Doris E. (Clough) Dresser. 

Ellen was educated in the Medford school system and was a graduate of Medford High School.

She was a proud homemaker for many years and later worked as a medical billing specialist.

She was a member of the Pentucket Congregational Church and was an active member of over 50 years of the Order of the Eastern Star. 

Ellen enjoyed traveling, knitting, crocheting, crafts and rug braiding.  She loved her family, assisting her community and spending time at the lake house in Buxton, Maine.

Surviving her in addition to her loving husband are three children and their spouses, Donna Cahill and her husband Fran, David F. Frizzell and his wife Karen and Laura Haas and her husband James; seven grandchildren, Jonathan Cahill, Marc Cahill, the late John Frizzell, David Frizzell, Jason Jarosh, Daniel Jarosh and Jennie Jarosh; two great grandchildren, Paige and Zahavi. Also many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Relatives and friends will be received on Wednesday, October 4th, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME, 4 Cassaway Drive, Tyngsborough.  An Eastern Star Funeral Service will take place immediately following at 7 p.m.  Burial will be private in Lakeview Cemetery Association, Freedom, NH.  In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Ellen’s name to the Hope Lodge Boston at https://www.cancer.org/support-programs-and-services/patient-lodging/hope-lodge/boston.html
