Elaine R. (Gil) Parent

Elaine R. (Gil) Parent, age 81, a resident of Billerica and a former resident of Hudson, NH, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the Brightview Concord River facility, with her loving nieces by her side.  She was the loving spouse of the late Roger A. Parent who passed in 2024.  

Born in Cambridge, MA on June 30, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Antone and Dorothy (Peters) Gil. She was raised and educated in Cambridge and went to school for hairdressing and cosmetology. Elaine worked as a hairdresser in Chelmsford for many years and later in her career at Summer Place in Chelmsford.

Elaine enjoyed shopping, dancing, walking, playing bingo and dogs, but her favorite pastime was laughing with family and friends.

She was the loving aunt to Tara Peacock and her husband Scott, Elaine Paolucci and Lisa Kelley; as well as many nieces and nephews; she is also survived by two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, John DiGiambattista and Albert and Elaine Parent. She was also the sister of the late Dorothy Lowry, Robert Gil, Francis Gil and Claire DiGiambattista.

Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough on Thursday, May 21, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Her Funeral Mass will take place immediately following at 12 noon at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 95 Lakeview Ave., Tyngsborough.  Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
