Eileen C. (Smith) LeClerc, age 83, a resident of Tyngsborough, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025, at her home with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Louis G. LeClerc, with whom she shared over 53 years of marriage, before his passing in 2023.
She was born in Boston on October 7, 1941 and was the only daughter out of six children of the late Donald and Catherine (Haverty) Smith. She grew up in both Jamaica Plain and Dorchester (Neponset Circle). Eileen received her early education from Northeastern and was a graduate of Dorchester High school.
Eileen was an avid reader; enjoyed playing bridge with friends and traveling. She was a wonderful baker and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Prior to her retirement, she worked as a customer service representative for the Internal Revenue Service for many years.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David and Carla LeClerc; a daughter, Caitlin Hidasi and her fiancé Aleksander Betko; four grandchildren, Isabel, Aedan, Caleb and Avery; two brothers, Edward Smith and Howard Smith; Cousins Mary and Mamesy; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. She was predeceased by three brothers, Donald, William and John Smith.
Visitations will be held on Friday, Aug. 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough. Her Funeral Service will take place immediately following at 1 p.m. in the Funeral Home. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery in Westford.
