Edgar "Ed" Gordon, Jr. Obituary

Edgar W. “Ed” Gordon, Jr., age 92, a longtime resident of Tyngsborough, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.  He was the husband of the late Marilyn R. (Bailey) Gordon, who passed in December of 2023.

Ed was born in Nahant on September 19, 1931 a son of the late Edgar W. and Ethel L. (Barnes) Gordon. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the 75th Antiaircraft Artillery Gun Battalion until his honorable discharge in 1950.

Ed worked as a machinist, was the founder of Ed’s Lawnmower Service in Tyngsborough, a family business that is still in operation today and he was also a longtime employee of the Tyngsborough Water District.

He was a Master Masson for 66 years and was a member of the Ancient York Lodge A. F. & A. M.

Ed enjoyed antique cars and attending car shows with his wife Marilyn. 

He is survived two daughters, Sharon Gordon and her boyfriend Dave Ayotte and Sheila Gordon all of Nashua; eight grandchildren, Sean Lebel and his girlfriend Gabi, Gretchen Costa, Justin Moreau and his wife Kim, Ryan Moreau and his wife Lisa, Brandon Green and his girlfriend Deb, Mandy Gordon and her boyfriend Robert, Melinda Gordon and her boyfriend Michael and Kenneth Gordon and his wife Courtney;  fifteen great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Susan Gordon; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.  He was predeceased by his son Kenneth W. Gordon who passed in 2021 and his brothers James and Raymond Gordon and sister Lorraine Paquin.
