Earl Joseph Landry

LOWELL – Mr. Earl Joseph Landry (94) of Lowell passed peacefully on 7 October 2022. Earl was born to Arthur E. and Marceline “Elina” M. (Theriault) Landry on 16 August 1928. He worked at LaPorte’s Pharmacy, graduated from Lowell High School, class of 1946, and served as a Captain in the “Boy Officers.” Earl joined the USCG, serving sixteen years and four years with the USAF Crash Boat Service. He retired as a USCG Chief Radioman. Earl worked over a decade for BASF and several years for Allied Security. He enjoyed retirement, reading, but most of all, spending time with his family. 

Earl was predeceased by his loving wife Gertrude “Gert” Marie (Roux) Landry in 2018 after 64 years of marriage. He was also predeceased by sister Clarisse R. Vincent and brother Arthur E. Landry Jr. Earl is survived by his son Earl J. Landry Jr. of Tyngsborough and daughter Sandra J. Tainter (husband Glenn) of Virginia, cherished “Pepe” of grandsons Glenn (wife Molly) and Adam, great grand-daughter Leah, niece Colleen, nephews Dennis and Anthony, and close friends. A heartfelt thank you is also extended to the friends and staff at Freeman Lake Assisted Living in North Chelmsford, Palm Center Nursing Care and Rehabilitation in Chelmsford and Compassus Hospice Care in North Andover.
