Diane M. Fortin

Diane M. (Richard) Fortin, age 75, a resident of Lowell, passed away suddenly on September 3, 2022.  She was the wife of the late Roger C. Fortin, Sr. who died in 1988.

Born in Lowell on March 5, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Edward E. and Therese B. (Tallard) Richard.  She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School.

Diane enjoyed sewing and knitting and loved spending time with her family and cherished her close relationship with her two sisters.

Prior to her retirement, she worked in the cafeteria at Greater Lowell Technical High School.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Roger C. Fortin, Jr. and his wife Mechelle of Dracut; two daughters and a son-in-law, Mariebeth Herrera and her husband Rubin of Lowell and Monique Fortin of Hudson, NH; a very dear family friend, Donna Blanchette of Hudson; two grandsons, Dustin Herrera and his wife Mickey and Mathew Fortin; a great granddaughter, Briella Fortin; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Priscille and Barney Barbera of Nashua and Claudette Bernier of Nashua; a brother, Maurice Richard of Lowell; also many nieces and nephews.

She was also the sister of the late Joe Richard and sister-in-law of the late Gary Bernier.

Funeral Services are incomplete at this time and will be announced as soon as all the details have been finalized.
