Dennis Houle, age 75, of Nashua, NH, passed away on August 3, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Born on August 21, 1949, Dennis was the beloved son of Maurice Houle and Gloria (Grimard) Houle. He grew up in the Lowell/Dracut area and at the age of 18, proudly enlisted in the United States Army, where he served as a tank crew specialist and M14 sharpshooter in Germany. Dennis was a proud veteran and American.
Following his military service, Dennis worked as a roofer and sider before beginning a 30-year career with Raytheon Corporation. A man of strong character, he was known for his hard work, dedication, and fierce independence.
Dennis was a devoted husband to the late Andrea Houle for 44 years. She was, in his words, "the one and only love of his life." Together they shared a life filled with joy, companionship, and simple pleasures—camping, kayaking, bird watching, and time spent with their beloved dogs: Jake, Daisy, Spike, and Bear. They built a warm and welcoming home in a neighborhood filled with cherished friends.
He had close bonds with his siblings, Donna and Paul, and was a beloved brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to many. Dennis was loving, tough, stubborn as hell, and endlessly curious. He took great pride in researching his Native American heritage and was a lifelong Harley enthusiast who enjoyed many Laconia Bike Weekends and rides with close friends.
His love of music, especially R&B, remained strong throughout his life. On his final day, he sang along to “Pride and Joy,” accompanied by his nephew Brian on guitar—a moment that perfectly captured his enduring spirit.
Dennis is survived by his sister Donna Houle and her partner Liz Sampson of Epping, NH; his brother Paul Houle of Dracut, MA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Raymond and Sissy Paradis of Dracut, MA; sister-in-law Diane Landry of Dracut, MA; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Evelyn and George Grady of Lowell, MA. He also leaves behind several loving nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his brother-in-law, Edmund Landry Jr.
Dennis will be forever remembered for his strength, loyalty, sense of humor, and the love he gave so freely to those lucky enough to know him.
Relatives and friends are welcomed to attend his graveside service on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a donation in his memory to the Animal Rescue League of NH at https://www.rescueleague.org/.
