Constance C. (Blanchard) Grisé, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2023, at the age of 91. She was the wife of the late Norman W. “Bill” Grisé, who she shared 34 wonderful years of marriage until his untimely passing in 1990.
Connie was born and raised in Holyoke, MA, a daughter of Armand “The Barber” and Irene (Peltier) Blanchard, who both preceded her in death.
She was a graduate of Precious Blood High School class of 1950. She also earned her Bachelors of Science in Education in 1978 from Westfield State College.
She traveled throughout the World as a “Navy Wife” before settling in Western Massachusetts, to raise her family. In her later years, she worked for the U.S. government, in the Washington, D.C. area, before retiring to Florida, for many years.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gary Grisé of San Diego, CA and John Grisé and his wife Jacinte, of Dracut; a grandchild Sibelle Grisé; a sister and brother-in-law, Simone Demary and her husband Edward, of Greenville, SC.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitations. Friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Friday, August 18, at 11:30 a.m. in the Parish of Saint Rita, 158 Mammoth Rd., Lowell. Connie will be interred alongside her husband, “Bill” in a private graveside ceremony at Notre Dame Cemetery, in South Hadley, Massachusetts.
