Clifton W. Edwards
Clifton W. Edwards, age 79, a resident of Lowell and formerly of Pelham and Tyngsborough, passed away on January 6, 2020, at the Northwood Health Care Center.
Born in Lowell on March 3, 1940, he was a son of the late Howard and Edna (Palm) Edwards.
Cliff had a great sense of humor and liked making people laugh, taking trips to the beach and eating lobster. He enjoyed cruises and of course wearing Hawaiian shirts. He loved watching The New England Patriots and RedSox games as well as spending time with his grandchildren.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed for many years by Raytheon.
Surviving him are a daughter Kelley Gray and her longtime companion Bill VanVooren Jr. of Jaffrey, NH, a son and daughter in law, William C. and Melanie Edwards of Tyngsborough; eight grandchildren, Jonathan Dirubbo and his wife Elisha, Michael Dirubbo, Christopher Carras, Emily Goyette and her husband Christopher, Allison Edwards, Lillian Edwards, Jackson Edwards and Sophia Edwards; two great grandchildren, Thomas and Maddison Goyette; as well as his ex-wife and friend Theresa Jenkins (Lariviere) (Edwards). Two brothers and two sisters in law, Howard W. and Janet Edwards of Dracut and John K. and Joyce Edwards of NH.
He is also survived by his wife Joyce (Rose) (Sawicki) Edwards and her family, Joseph Sawicki and his wife Christine and their children Olivia and Joe Jr., John Sawicki and his two sons, John II and Dean, and Jason Sawicki and his daughters Jaime and Jordan Ginn and her son Cameron.
