Wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt
Claudette M. (Dumais) Gagnon, a resident of the Pawtucketville section, passed away at her home on Monday July 14, 2025, at the age of 88, with her husband and family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Gerard L. Gagnon, with whom she shared over 67 years of marriage.
Claudette was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren and she always loved going shopping at Macy's.
She was proud of her French heritage and was the president of Le Cercle Jeanne Mance for 15 years and always looked forward to getting together with all the ladies. Claudette was honored as the Franco American of the year in 2022, by the Franco-American Day Committee of Lowell. She was also a longtime member of the St. Rita’s Women’s Club.
Surviving her in addition to her husband Gerard, are two daughters, Constance Gagnon and Karen Gagnon-Robidas both of Lowell; three sons, Andre Gagnon of Lowell, Raymond Gagnon of Dracut, and Robert Gagnon of TN; her granddaughters and grandsons, Kaitlin and Kyle Smith, Jeremy and Nichole Robidas of Lowell, Kristina Gagnon of Chelmsford, Amanda Gagnon of CO, Nicholas and Samuel Gagnon of Beverly and Dylan Gagnon of Lowell; a brother and sister-in-law, Bernard and Celestine Dumais of TX; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Aline and Albert Grimard of Dracut; also many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her son Michael Gagnon and her siblings Claire Lavoie, Jacqueline Brouillette and Gerard Dumais.
Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME, 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough on Sunday, July 20, 2025 from 2 to 5 p.m. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning at 10 a.m. in Ste. Marguerite D’Youville Parish, 1340 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut. Committal services will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
