Clark H. Watson, 63, of Lowell, MA, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at Apple Valley Center in Ayer, MA.
He was born in Nuremberg, Germany on October 30, 1959, and was a son of the late William and Maria (Weimer) Watson. He received his education in Lowell schools and was a graduate of Greater Lowell Vocational Technical High School. He worked at Courier Citizen in Lowell, MA; Ivex Novacel, Inc. and the Nashua, NH School District, where he retired in 2016.
Clark enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His favorite pastime was riding his motorcycle, especially on an annual trip to Americade in Lake George, NY with his best friend, Billy Foote. He was also an avid Patriots fan and enjoyed going for long rides on his bicycle. He was a free spirit who loved to explore.
For the past 6 years and 9 months, Clark has resided at Apple Valley Center in Ayer, MA. Where his twin sister, Ramona, visited him daily and took such great care of him. Clark suffered from Cerebellar Ataxia and in March 2023 was diagnosed with late-stage cancer.
Clark was loved by the staff at Apple Valley Center. He sure knew how to make them laugh. The family wants to thank the nurses and CNA’s for the loving care that they gave Clark all these years.
He is survived by three daughters, Christina Dionne, Melissa DeCosta, and Brittany Watson; two grandchildren, Luke and Madison DeCosta; his twin sister, Ramona Bean and her husband, Robert; Nieces, Angie Estright and Angela Watson; Nephews; Bruce Burns Jr. and Nick Watson; loving Aunt, Marga Kemf and many cousins from Kaiserslauten, Germany. He is also survived by many relatives here in New England.
Clark was predeceased by his brother Peter H. Watson.
The family would also like to say a special thank you to Clark’s niece, Angie Estright, nephew Bruce Burns Jr.; friends Billy Foote, Mary Ann Carrignan, Patti Shaughnessy-Knowlton, Arthur St. Pierre and Bob L’Hussier for visiting Clark. He enjoyed every visit and loved you all.
Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough on Sunday, July 9, from 2 to 5 p.m. Funeral Monday morning with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in the Parish of Saint Rita, 158 Mammoth Rd., Lowell. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chelmsford.
