Cheryl C. McMahon
Cheryl C. (Lemieux) McMahon, age 63, resident of Tyngsborough, passed away on December 8, 2022 at the Lowell General Hospital, following a long battle with cancer.
Born in Lowell, on November 14, 1959, she was the beloved daughter of Gloria (Hogan) Kirk of Tyngsborough and the late Richard A. Lemieux of Lowell. Cheryl was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Lowell, MA.
Cheryl spent a number of years working at Wang Laboratories where she made countless friendships. She had a long career in telecommunications working for several different companies including Media One, Conversant Communications, One Communications and finally New Horizons Communications.
Cheryl enjoyed traveling and spending time at the beach and she had a talent for restoring furniture. She loved animals and always held a special place in her heart for her cats. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and especially loved her grandson.
Cheryl is survived by her mother and step father, Gloria and Thomas Kirk of Tyngsborough. Her son, Patrick McMahon and his girlfriend Rebecca Fidler of Tyngsborough. Her daughter, Kathryn McMahon and her fiancé Adam Cordeiro of Pepperell; her grandson, Donovan Cordeiro; and her brother Richard P. Lemieux of Dover, NH.
Cheryl’s family would like to extend a warm thank you to all the staff at Lowell General Hospital for taking care of her. Their love and support through this difficult time did not go unnoticed.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you place some funds towards your own vacation fund or set it aside for a night out. When you're there, have a toast to Cheryl.
Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough on Friday, Dec. 16, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
