Celine (Virgile) Meronnis, age 59, a resident of Dracut, MA, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025. She is survived by her beloved husband Jean Wales Meronnis as well as her four children and four grandchildren and she was predeceased by her parents Emily and Leker Virgile.
Celine was born in Haiti on October 22, 1965 and became a talented seamstress who owned her own shop. In October of 2013, she moved to the United States with her children and family, where she selflessly dedicated her life to supporting their success and helping raise her grandchildren. Her love for her family was unwavering and she sacrificed much to ensure their well-being.
A devout woman of faith, Celine had a deep love for her God. She was always in prayer and praised the Lord with an unshakable faith that inspired all who knew her. Celine was a generous giver, always sharing what she had with others. Her kindness and spirit of giving touched many lives.
She is survived by and will be deeply missed by her husband Jean and children, Betchela Meronnis Simeon and her husband Guetet Simeon, Hugo Meronnis, Dolby Meronnis and Waldah Meronnis; grandchildren, Samuel Meronnis, Jonathan Simeon, Victoria Simeon, and Matthew Sylvarin; her brothers, sisters and other family members, Sonel Virgile, Edith Virgile, Antonia Virgile, Midone Virgile, Sergo Virgile, Michelet Virgile, Samson Virgile, Walsky Massillon, Judner Massillon, Tara Massillon, Duckens Massillon Fritzer Virgile, Mireille Virgile, Joel Virgile, Danou Virgile, Legro Virgile, Cassandre Adelson, Steeve Adelson, Julie Meronnis, Veronique Meronnis, Audah Meronnis, Loiseau Joseph Jutile, Junia Louitis, Phanie Jean, Francesse Meronnis, Claudel Meronnis, Manel Sylvarin etc...
Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough on Friday, Jan. 31 from 5 to 7 p.m. Her Funeral Service will take place on Saturday morning beginning at 8 a.m. at the Eliot Church, 273 Summer St., Lowell. Burial will follow in Tyngsborough Memorial Cemetery, Tyngsborough. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial donation to Hope for Haiti’s Children at http://hopeforhaitischildren.org/
