Cecile I. (Couillard) Lamoureux

PELHAM, NH – Cecile I. (Couillard) Lamoureux, age 91, a longtime resident of Pelham, NH passed away at her home, on Monday, December 14, 2020, with her family by her side.  She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond A. Lamoureux.

Born in Lowell on July 9, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Armand O. and Yvonne (Dube) Couillard.

Cecile was very proud of her French-Canadian heritage and worked tirelessly to preserve the French language and culture.  She was involved with many local fraternal organizations and charities in the area including the Cercle Jeanne Mance, where she had served as president for many years and the Club Richelieu.  In 2002, she was named Franco-American of the Year by the Franco-American Day Committee, in recognition of her hard work and dedication to the Franco-American heritage.  Cecile also volunteered at the former St. Joseph’s Hospital for over 18 years. 

She enjoyed bowling, spending time with family at Lake Winnipesaukee and was always there to help those in need.

She is survived by three sons and three daughters in law, Robert and Sharon Lamoureux, David and Katherine Lamoureux and John and Lisa Lamoureux all of Pelham; two daughters, Elaine Taylor of Chelmsford and Renee Lamoureux of Dunstable; sixteen grandchildren, Lindsay Rae, Shannon, Zachery, Meghan, Kelsey, Devon, Michelle, Kathleen, Christine, Travis, Tricia, Clint, Brittany, Melissa, Jessica and Raymond; twelve great grandchildren, Brandon, Brayden, Leo, Max, Ace, Violet, Dalton, James, Jacob, Amelia, Ambrielle and Tre; a sister and brother in law, Yvette Crockett and her husband David of NH; a brother in law, Richard La Riviere of Tyngsborough; a sister in law, Florence Couillard of Canada; and several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. 

She was also the sister of the late Armand Couillard and his wife Dorothy, Roland Couillard, Rachel Lafitte and her husband Roger and Jeanne La Riviere and mother in law of the late Jeffrey Taylor.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Committal Service on Saturday; Dec. 19, at 12:15 p.m. at the pavilion area at St. Joseph Cemetery, 96 Riverneck Rd., Chelmsford.
