DRACUT – Carol J. (Rannikko) Brown, age 73, a resident of Dracut, passed away with family by her side on Thursday, May 26, 2022. She was the beloved wife of David F. Brown with whom she would have celebrated 53 years of marriage on June 14.
Born in Worcester on January 26, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Tovio and Eileen M. (Howard) Rannikko. She was educated in the Worcester school system and was a graduate of Burncoat Senior High School class of 1967.
Carol was a talented seamstress making formal attire, matching outfits and wedding gowns for her daughter, herself and others. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband and attending musicals, plays, sporting events and numerous other shows. Carol was also a big supporter of her grandchildren and loved attending their musical events.
For many years, she worked as a receptionist and customer service representative.
Surviving her in addition to her husband are a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Andrew Godfroy; a son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Krista Brown; eight grandchildren, Matthew, Corey, Damon, Nicholas, Elsie, Hendrix, Juniper and Dorian; six siblings, Roy Rannikko and his wife Karol, Linda Hamelin, Pamela Perkins and her husband Hampton, Rodney Rannikko and his wife Minna, Michael Rannikko and his wife Jennifer and Crystal Etre and her husband Christopher; two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, Richard Brown and Diana and Arthur Tetreault; also several nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister-in-law of the late Ronald and Gay Brown, Beverly Brown and Joyce and Robert Best.
Relatives and friends will be received on Thursday, June 2, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME, 4 Cassaway Drive, Tyngsborough. Her Funeral Service will take place on Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. in the Funeral Home. Committal Services will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
