Carlos Metcalf Obituary

Carlos A. Metcalf

Carlos A. Metcalf, age 63, a resident of Lowell, MA for many years, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 11, 2022.  He was the loving partner and best friend of Billy McCaughey for 33 years.

Born in Los Angeles, CA on May 9, 1958, he was a son of the late Josephine F. Metcalf and brother of the late George Metcalf. He was educated in the Garden Grove school system and was a graduate of La Quinta High School.

Carlos was a very intelligent man and had a passion for writing and painting.  He enjoyed listening to music and watching movies and spending time with Billy.  Carlos also had a huge heart for animals and was always ready to rescue ones in need. An avid action figure toy collector and loved video games.

Carlos loved Christmas with a passion. 6 Christmas trees all decorated and lit throughout the house. Billy had retired just a year earlier and spending time sipping coffee with him was a wonderful way to start his day. Dancing in the kitchen as Billy made up songs was something they did each day for the 33 years together.

He had been employed as a representative/Technical Writer for the Elderhostel Company for many years.

Surviving Carlos besides Billy are many dear friends and his beloved cats.
