Brenda (Pitre) Deschenes Obituary

Brenda A. Deschenes, age 70, a longtime resident of Hudson, NH, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023, with her family by her side.  She was the loving wife of the late Paul A. Deschenes who died in 2007.

Born in Lowell on July 20, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Ruth (Dwyer) Pitre and was raised by her aunt and uncle, Raymond and Dorothy (Pitre) Cloutier. She was educated in the Lowell School system and was a graduate of Lowell Trade School.

In her younger years, Brenda worked as a bridal consultant at Dimitra’s Bridal Shop.  She worked alongside her husband, Paul, at their company, PD Landscaping, and could be found on several construction sites and landscaping projects or in her truck snowplowing. Most recently, Brenda worked at the former Ste Jeanne d’Arc School in multiple roles, as well as at Lowell Catholic High School.  She also baked and decorated cakes for several occasions over the years.

Brenda was involved with fundraising and worked tirelessly for many organizations in the community including: Ste Jeanne d’Arc School, Toys for Tots, the DCF-Bachand Hall Golf Tournament, and the CatWalk for CancerCare for Lowell General Hospital.

Brenda enjoyed swimming in her pool, camping, hosting parties and the holidays, shopping, anything Disney related, being a dance mom, and always cleaning; but her true passion was spending time with her two grandchildren, Zach and Kenzi, and her daughter and best friend, Kerri. Brenda was known to almost everyone as the infamous, “Auntie Brenda.” She was the life of the party with an infectious smile and could make anyone laugh with her jokes.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kerri R. and John Denommee; her pride and joy, Zachary Paul and Mackenzie Cecile; six sisters and six brothers-in-law, Kimberly and James Hill, Robin and John Riess, Lucia and Keith Jones, Linda and David Gillispie, Carol and John Johnson and Louise and Jeff Martinson; seven brothers and two sisters-in-law, Raymond Cloutier and his longtime companion Cindy, Richard and Mary Cloutier, Leo Pitre, Dennis Cloutier, Kevin and Lynda Pitre, Richard Gonsalves and the late Michael Gonsalves; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Susan and Donald Ferchak, Donald and Pamela Deschenes, Cheryl and Roger Bolduc, and Elizabeth Cloutier; her step-mother, Esther Pitre; also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME, 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.  Funeral Monday morning with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. at the Parish of Saint Rita, 158 Mammoth Rd., Lowell. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brenda’s memory to the Lowell General Cancer Center at https://www.lowellgeneral.org/about-us/ways-to-give
