Blanche "Bea" (Landry) Lessard Obituary

Blanche Beatrice “Bea” (Landry) Lessard, age 76, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts on November 4, 1948, Blanche was a daughter of the late Donat Landry and Doris (Lemelin) Clermont.

In her younger years, growing up in Lowell, MA she was known as BB Tanguay. She worked and owned Bea’s Diner in Lowell, MA, and worked and owned Bea’s convenience in Brandon, Florida.

Prior to her retirement, she loved being a cook and serving others, but her real passion in life was being a homemaker and taking care of her children.

In her spare time, Bea cherished the simple joys in life from the smiles of her children and family to a lively game of Texas Hold‘em or cheering on her favorite football team. Blanche’s warmth, generosity, and love for family will be remembered always. In addition to her family in the South and North she had a deep love for her animals, especially her cherished cats, MyMy, Gracie Mae, Abby, and her loyal dog Hannah.

Blanche is survived and will be deeply missed by her four children, Rick Lessard (Michelle), Kimberly Porter (Daniel), Denise Lessard, and Tammy Lessard (“Big Daddy” John); two brothers, Paul Tanguay (Jean) and Roger Tanguay (Rita); four sisters, Suzanne Cormier (Roland), Patricia Herlihy (James), Sue Bates, and Jeannette Cote; a sister-in-law, Beth Tanguay; eleven grandchildren, Steven Lessard, Stephanie Holland, Ryan Porter, Jesse Shirk, Johnny Porter, Bryanna Porter, Jacob Porter, Stephanie Hemenway, Patrick Hemenway, Sara Hemenway, and Michael Hemenway; seven great-grandchildren; many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; a godson, Roland Cormier; and many special friends. She was predeceased by a grandchild, Dawn Lessard Sanders; and the father of her children, Rudy Lessard.

Relatives and friends will be received on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025 from 12 to 3:00 p.m. at the Tyngsborough Funeral Home, 4 Cassaway Drive, Tyngsborough, MA.
