Bettie Ruth Hunt

Born in New Mexico on March 24, 1939 to the late Alva and Beatrice (Efird) Armistead, Bettie Ruth (Armistead) Hunt passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Lowell General Hospital, at the age of 83.

She was, and is, admired for her fiercely independent spirit, tenderness toward nature, strong moral conviction, and enduring grace. She was an avid crafter, a talented and passionate horticulturist, adored animals, and was an impressive home clothier. She cherished nothing more than being amongst family, which is how her final days were spent.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Kristin Hunt of Townsend, MA, her daughter Susan Flanders of Lowell, MA, and her daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Fred Fallon of Epping, NH.

She is also survived by nine grandchildren: Victoria, Wesley, and Timothy Hunt, Warren Flanders and wife Amanda, Mallorie Kohl and husband Donald, Leigh Ann Coon, Jessica, Jimmy, and Ben Stratz, six great-grandchildren: Tessa, Sophia, Madeline, Zachary, Ryleigh and August, and a sister, Rosa Lee Johnke, along with several nieces and nephews.
