Anne Marie (Weisberg) Fisher, 82, a resident of Tucson, AZ, passed away on June 22 with her family by her side.
She was born on July 23, 1943 in Lowell, MA, and was the daughter of the late Isadore and Ethel Weisberg. Anne Marie lived in Lowell for a brief time before her family moved to Dunstable, MA.
Her education began at the Tenth Street School in Lowell, the Union School in Dunstable, and Lowell High School. She continued her education at Lowell State College (now the University of Massachusetts Lowell) where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in teaching and made many life-time friends.
Her teaching career included locations locally and around the globe: in Massachusetts, Japan, and Germany – where she met her husband, William Fisher, and back to the states, retiring from the Apple Valley, CA school system.
Besides her passion for teaching her students, Anne Marie enjoyed traveling extensively with her family, sewing projects, and reviewing books by favorite authors with her book clubs.
Surviving her, in addition to her husband William Fisher, are: her son Eric Fisher and his wife Heather; daughter Rebecca Bean and former husband Brent Bean; three granddaughters, Annabelle Fisher, Katelyn Fisher, and Shayna Bean; two sisters, Patricia Weisberg and Charlene Weisberg, and many cousins.
Burial services will be private for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Phoenix, AZ.
