Alfred G. Marcotte
Alfred Gerard Marcotte passed away with his family by his side on Monday, February, 13, 2023. Al was born in Lowell, MA on May 11, 1944 by Frederick & Eva Marcotte. As a veteran Al received the Bronze Service Star for his heroic actions in the Vietnam War and was a retired manager from Collins & Aikman. Al’s passions in life were fishing with his friends and family, playing the lottery, helping at his son’s convenience stores, going to watch his grand children at their sporting events, raising his grandson with his daughter and spending the remaining time with his immediate family. Al moved to Hudson, NH with his daughter 25 years ago. His legacy and spirit will live on in those family members that survived him; his brother Leo Marcotte and wife Diane, his sister Lillian Dalpe, his sister-in-law Denise Marcotte, his son Kevin Marcotte and his two children Dawson and Delaney Harker, her husband Caden, their sons Callan and Oliver; son Alan Marcotte and wife Tracey and their two children Sierra and Logan; his daughter Karla Marcotte, her husband John Hubbard, his 3 children and Karla’s son and “Peps” beloved Thomas “TomTom” Dawson. Along with many other close relatives. This man was loved so dearly by his family and friends; he will leave an enormous hole in all their lives. Al, also endearingly called Pepe by many, was the unmovable rock that held their immediate family together, so strongly and with such love, compassion, empathy, and sternness unmatched by any other; there will never be another like him. From his children: Rest easy dad, come and watch over us when you can; we will always love you and will continually strive to be more like you every day.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Friday, February 24, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough, MA 01879. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at Ste Marguerite D’Youville Parish, 1340 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. Those wishing may make a memorial donation in his name to the D.A.V. at http://www.dav.org.
