Aleta (Brown) Thompson Obituary

Aleta M. (Brown) Thompson, 55 of Tyngsborough, MA, passed away peacefully at her home on September 19, 2023 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on August 30, 1968 in Lowell, MA and had the opportunity to live in many different places including Greece and Florida during her short life.  Aleta eventually settled in Tyngsborough where she raised her three boys.

Aleta’s greatest joy was spending time with her three boys and their friends. She will be remembered by many for her time volunteering with the local Boy Scouts of America Troop in a large number of positions, including troop leader and camp program manager. She also enjoyed cheering on her boys while they competed in high school cross country events. Aleta loved spending time at the beach, enjoyed being in the warm weather and loved to cook her favorite recipes for her family. She loved her cat Tommy, named after her favorite football team, the Patriots. After raising her boys, Aleta returned to school to become a Licensed Practical Nurse which fulfilled her deep love to help people and worked with children.

Aleta is survived by her three sons, Aaron Thompson of Tyngsborough, Cody Thompson of Tyngsborough, Dana Thomson and his fiancé, Taylor Mello, of Billerica, along with her former spouse Michael Thompson, of Dunstable. She also leaves many close friends and relatives.

In lieu of flowers, please take the time to walk through flowers to enjoy the beautiful colors and smells while also taking time to watch and listen to the birds, bees, and butterflies.
In lieu of donations, please help those in need, close loved ones, friends, family or a stranger.  Help those struggling with a loss, health, mental or financial struggles.
Most importantly, tell someone that you love them, hug them tightly, tell them how much you appreciate them for no reason other than just being there. Forgive those who you hold grudges against, even if it’s with good reason. Let yours and other’s spirit be free of judgment and persecution.
This is what Aleta would want for us all as that is all she wanted, to love and be loved! Thank you all for your love and support.

There will be a private Celebration of Life for close friends and family members.
