Albert J. Jamieson

Albert J. Jamieson, age 86, a longtime resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell and most recently of Hudson, NH, passed away suddenly on June 1st, 2024.  He was the beloved husband of Ingeborg (Bind) Jamieson, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage.

Albert was born in Haverstraw, New York to the late Albert and Shirley (Nelson) Jamieson and attended the Lowell School system.  As a young man, he was very active in the Golden Gloves Org. and the YMCA.  He was also a longtime member of the Dom Polski Club of Lowell.  Prior to his retirement, Albert worked for the City of Lowell Water Department for over 40 years and was awarded the Key to the City for his years of service.  Along with his wife Ingeborg, he enjoyed traveling to Germany as well as locally and throughout New England.  He also loved the outdoors and taking long walks.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his brother, Donald LeBlanc; his sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Renate and Lenny Baptiste and Walter Gabel; and his nieces and nephews, Kevin Ahern, Kelly Wagner, Rick and Carol Beauregard, Janine and Donald LaRose, Sheryl and George Bryce, Heather Baptiste and Dave Paquette, Nadia and Daniel Tuerkis and Mark Reith.

Albert was predeceased by his sister Shirley Ahearn and brother David LeBlanc and sister-in-law Karin Gabel.

Relatives and friends will be received at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough, on Saturday, June 8, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon, followed by a Funeral Home Service at 12 noon.  His Committal Service will take place privately in Lowell Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the American Heart Assoc. at https://www.heart.org/
