Albert J. Dalphond
of Dracut; 90
DRACUT- Albert J. Dalphond, 90, of Dracut, died peacefully at the home of his daughter on Monday, March 14, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Shirley Dalphond (Eno), with whom he shared 59 years of marriage prior to her death in 2018.
Albert was born in Lowell, on July 16, 1931, the son of the late Leo and Olive (Dubois) Dalphond. Al attended Lowell high school then served in the US Navy. He worked as the Maintenance Supervisor at D’Youville Manor in Lowell. Prior to his retirement he worked as a barber at Tewksbury State Hospital.
Al loved fishing, music and photography, but most of all spending time with his grandchildren. His greatest pride was being a grandfather. He loved spending hours with his grandchildren teaching them the outdoor activities that he loved as well as taking them on numerous camping trips, weekend sleepovers and Saturday morning breakfasts at the lake. They were his pride and joy.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Joanne Dalphond of Lowell, his daughter Karen Prescott of Hudson, NH, his daughter Susan Dalphond of Hudson, NH and her fiance Frank Maglio, his son Michael Dalphond of Dracut and his fiance Valerie White. He was a loving grandfather to Tyler, Spencer and Zachery Prescott of Hudson, NH and Amanda Dalphond of Lowell. He also leaves three great grandchildren, Atticus Dalphond, and Lillian and Jaxon Prescott. He is predeceased by, his sisters Cecile Dalphond, and Yvette Carter, his brother Maurice Dalphond and his grandson, Christopher Dalphond.
DALPHOND- Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service at St. Marguerite D’Youville, 1340 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut, MA at 10 am on Thursday, March 17. Private Burial to follow.
