HUDSON, NH – Theresa A. (Ozella) Duchesne, a resident of Hudson, NH, entered into the arms of Jesus and Mary on Thursday, January 3, 2018 with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 58 years to Edmond A. Duchesne. 

Born in Lowell she was the beloved daughter of Ellen F. (Ryder) (Ozella) Frangente and Michael Ozella.

Theresa was educated at Sacred Heart Grammar School and was a graduate of Keith Hall High School.  She also attended UMass Lowell.

She was an active member of the former Sacred Heart Church in Lowell and also St. John XXIII Parish in Hudson.

Prior to her retirement, she worked at the former Central Savings Bank and T.D. Bank North.

Theresa was a 46 year member and past President of the Legion of Mary at Holy Family Parish in Lowell and St. Michael Parish in Lowell.  She also had the privilege of serving as President of the Merrimack Valley Council for the Legion of Mary for many years. Theresa spoke at many churches promoting the Legion of Mary, which was her passion.

She also served as a lector at St. Michael Church in Lowell, Corpus Christi Church in Lawrence and Blessed John XXIII Church in Hudson, NH.  She was a greeter at the Infant Jesus Church in Nashua and was a volunteer at the Nashua Food Kitchen.

Her Faith was very important to her but greatest joy in life was the great times spent with her very much loved husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren especially at Hampton Beach and at the Sylvan Street Grille in Salisbury.

Surviving her in addition to her husband are two sons, Shawn Duchesne of Gloucester, MA and Doug Duchesne and companion Sue Belanger of Hudson, NH; two daughters and two sons in law, Loriellen Grande-Fowler and her husband Douglas Fowler of Haverhill, MA and Tammy Conroy and her late husband Kevin of Nashua, NH; seven grandchildren, Katie Bracetty of Lowell, Kelli Duchesne of Lowell, Douglas Duchesne of Hudson, NH, Jesse Duchesne of Lowell, Jenna Duchesne of Lowell, April Conroy of Nashua and Brooke Conroy of Nashua; seven great grandchildren, Jalen, Ryan, Payton, Cole, Meah, Izaias and Levi; four sisters and a brother in law, Anna Cullen of FL, Maryellen Daigle of NH, Jeanne Trask of NH and Nancy Gilbert and her husband Robert of NH; two sisters in law, Pearl Rivard of Lowell and Kathy Duchesne of NH; and many nieces and nephews.

She also leaves her best friend Norma LaPorte of Dracut, dear friends from Keith Hall High School and the Legion of Mary, along with her friends Jenny Conroy, the late Helen Conroy, Louise Gill and all her weekday Mass friends from Blessed John XXIII Parish in Hudson.

She was also the sister of the late Richard Ozella, sister in law of the late Thomas Cullen, Thomas Trask, Dennis Duchesne, Roland Rivard, Therese Ozella and aunt of the late Thomas Cullen Jr.

 

DUCHESNE – passed on Jan. 3, 2019.  Theresa A. (Ozella) Duchesne, a resident of Hudson, NH and wife of Edmond A. Duchesne.  Relatives and friends may call at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME, 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough on Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral Wednesday morning with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. John XXIII Parish @ St. John the Evangelist Church, 25 Library Street, Hudson, NH 03051. Committal services will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford, MA. Those wishing to attend the funeral are asked to meet directly at church.
