Susan (Ahearn) O'Toole Obituary

Susan L. (Ahearn) O’Toole

PELHAM, NH – Susan L. (Ahearn) O’Toole, a resident of Pelham, NH passed away on August 9, 2019 at the Lowell General Hospital with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Thomas O’Toole, for over 40 years.

Born in Lowell on October 16, 1950, she was a daughter of the late John and Barbara (McDermott) Ahearn.

Susie was educated in the Lowell school system and was a graduate of Lowell High School and then received her Radiologic Technologist degree through St. Joseph Hospital.

Prior to her retirement, she was the office manager for Dr. Gerber and Associates.

Susie was a huge Red Sox fan and animal lover.  She loved living on the pond, where one of her favorite pastimes was to fish and feed the ducks off her deck. She would come up with funny pop culture names for the wildlife that frequented “Susie’s Cabin in The Woods.” Susie’s wit and humor will be deeply missed and Susie will forever be Tom’s “Pretty Girl.”

Surviving her in addition to her husband, are two daughters and a son in law, Laurie Baker and her husband Chad of Bradenton, FL and Lyndie Shaw of Dracut; five grandchildren, Matthew Zolkos, Madison Zolkos, Loran Zolkos, Grace Shaw and Benjamin Baker; a brother, John Ahearn of Lowell; a sister, Carol Ahearn of Lowell; two brothers in law and two sisters in law; Edward and Barbara O’Toole of Charlestown, NH and Stephen and Lisa O’Toole of Kingston, NH; also many nieces and nephews.

In accordance with her wishes, Funeral Services were held privately.  Those wishing may make a memorial donation in her name to the MSPCA-Angell, Attn: Donations, 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.  For online condolences, please visit www.tyngsboroughfuneralhome.com.
