Mary A. (Glasheen) Barry

Mary A. (Glasheen) Barry, 66, a longtime resident of Tyngsborough, passed away on October 12, 2019 at Lowell General Hospital surrounded by her family.  She was the beloved wife of Michael J. Barry and recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary.

Born in Lowell on March 31, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Ann (Smith) Glasheen. 

Mary was educated in the Lowell school system and was a graduate of Lowell High School. Prior to her recent retirement, she was employed as an office manager for Rosemont Engineering in Lowell. She enjoyed family gatherings, sewing, cooking, hosting parties for the Patriot’s games and spending time with her family and friends at their lake house in Vermont.  

In addition to her husband Mike, she is survived by her two sons John and Ryan and her daughter Monica Barry all of Tyngsborough; her siblings Monica Grant (Frank), Michael Glasheen (Kathy), Sally Marshall, and Patrick Glasheen; her sisters and brothers in law, Paula Eliopoulos, June Barry, Andrea Letizia (Carmen), Brenda Hupfer (Beat) and Alison Ford (Craig) and nieces and nephews: Meghan and Billy, Josh and Melissa, Gillian and Patrick, Kaitlin and Patrick, Candace, Molly, Derek, Jarrod, Colin, Brendan, Sean, Alec, Cameron, Gavin, Juliet, Belle, Kiera, her god mother Aunt Mary Currie; also many cousins and dear friends. She was the daughter in law of the late Gerard and Vivian Barry and the sister in law of the late Marc Marshall.
