Loving mother and grandmother

TYNGSBOROUGH – Mrs. Margaret P. (Strybel) Strope, age 101, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at the Lowell General Hospital with her loving family by her side.  She was the wife of the late Vern Hall Strope.

Born in Chicago, IL on July 4, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Sally (Orilowski) Strybel.

She was educated in the Chicago school system and was a graduate of Carl Sehurz High School.

Margaret had a strong faith in God and was a longtime member of Grace Community Church in Chelmsford.

Prior to her retirement, she owned and operated Towne and Country Kennels in Plymouth, Michigan, along with her family.

Margaret enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and the ocean. Her greatest love was her family, the time spent telling stories or singing songs together will never be forgotten.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda L. Finch of Tyngsborough, with whom she resided; a son and daughter in law, Larry and Stella Strope of CO; her loving grandchildren, Shelly Freudeman and husband Bryan of TX, Lisa Robbins and husband Kevin of Westford, Toni DiChiara of Worcester, Leslie Chabak and husband Andy of Lowell, the late Terry Reilly and husband Hugh of CO, the late Lori Green of AR, Brett Strope and wife Jeannine of CO, Sharon Slemons and husband Tim of CO and Alan Strope and wife Kim of CO; a brother, Roger Strybel of IL; also many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and many dear friends.

She was also the sister of the late Arthur and Leroy Strybel and Virgina Fetzer.

STROPE – Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Service on Wednesday, Aug. 8, at 10 a.m. at Grace Community Church, 275 Billerica Rd., Chelmsford.  Burial will be private in Lowell Cemetery.  For online condolences or directions, please visit www.tyngsboroughfuneralhome.com.
