Loving Husband, Father, Papa, Brother, and Friend

 

John H. Lemire, age 63, a resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at the Lowell General Hospital with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Donna L. (Perry) Lemire. 

Born in Lowell, on May 3, 1954, he was a son of the late Edward C. and Yvette R. (Lethiecq) Lemire.

John was very proud of his children and took pride in their accomplishments. He spent his summers camping with his wife. His grandchildren were his world he cherished his time spent with them at camp, building great campfires, telling stories, and listening to great music. John enjoyed football and he loved his patriots!  He was a longtime member of the Lemire Fantasy Football League, with his most recent back to back Championship WINS. He was a fun loving guy who always was the life of any party and could make anyone laugh no matter what the circumstances. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a machine operator for Interstate Container. 

Surviving him in addition to his wife Donna of 41 years are four children, Shawn M. Lemire and his wife Laurie of Salem NH, James E. Lemire and his wife Julie of Lowell MA, Nicole A. Nieves and her husband Samuel of Lowell MA and Timothy R. Santos and his girlfriend Kayla of Lowell MA; eight grandchildren, Zachary, Javian, Emma, Lilyanna, Carter, Mason, Jackson and Piper; a brother, Edward Lemire of Lowell, four sisters and three brothers in law, Pearl and Richard Grant of Glennville GA, Rose and John Sweet of Copperas Cove TX, Linda Reid of Derry NH and Debbie and Richard Marquez of Elba NY; his brothers in law and sisters in law, Robert and Diane Tremblay of Coral Springs FL, Victor Tremblay of Lowell MA, Kenneth and Linda Tremblay of Haverhill MA, David Perry and his significant other Sharon of Salem NH, John and Karen Tremblay of Farmington NH, Robert Perry and significant other Patty of Lowell MA, Marie and Roland Santos of Lowell MA, Amanda and Michael Proulx of Pepperell MA, Pamela Carleton of Dracut MA, Edward Tremblay of TX, John Temple of Raymond NH and Nancy and Mark Dame of Davenport FL; also several nieces and nephews. His father and mother in law David and Eugenie Perry and mother in law Emily Tremblay.

Lemire.  Relatives and friends may call at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral Saturday morning with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. in the Parish of Saint Rita, 158 Mammoth Rd., Lowell.  Committal Services will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
