TYNGSBOROUGH - Sara (Rampello)Toffling, age 98, passed away on Monday at the Fairhaven Nursing Home where she had been a resident for the past 4 years. She was born on March 10, 1919 in the town of Villa Rosa, Sicily, a daughter of the late Vincenzo and Giacomina Rampello. She had come to live in Lawrence MA as a baby, moving to Millis with her husband where they raised their family. For the last 16 years, she has resided in Tyngsborough. Sara was a graduate of Lawrence High School, later taking courses at Framingham State College. She met her husband while working for the USO Commissary at Fort Devens, and was employed in the child care services for many years in Millis. Sara leaves two sons, Vinnie Toffling and his wife Gail of Tyngsborough and Bill Toffling and his wife Sue of Hagerstown, MD; she is also survived by four grandchildren, Dan Toffling and his wife Mercedes of Wellesley, Keith Toffling of Belchertown, David Toffling and his wife Jacquelyn of Reading and Stephanie and her husband Adam Rucinski of PA; two great grandchildren, Mila and Aiden Toffling and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband William L Toffling, her sister Mary Anagnos and brother, Joseph Rampello.
Sara's family would like to thank the staff of the Fairhaven Nursing Home for their loving attention and the exceptional care provided to Sara over the past 4 years.
