TYNGSBOROUGH – Mr. Paul R. Allard, age 79, a longtime resident of Tyngsborough, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017, in Lowell. He was the husband of the late Pauline I. (Primeau) Allard who died in October of 1991.
Born in Lowell on May 18, 1937, he was a son of the late Raymond and Josephine Allard.
Paul attended Dracut schools and was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He operated an ice business in Tyngsborough for many years and became a legend on the bluegrass circuit with his calls of I-I-I-Ice!!!
Paul’s favorite pastime was auto racing and he traveled all over New England following his favorite teams of Dave Dion and Wayne Helliwell, Jr. He also had an avid interest in aviation and loved attending air shows.
Paul is survived by his son and daughter in law, Wayne and Kelly Allard of Tyngsborough; his grandsons, Greg of Nashua and “best buddy” Camryn of Tyngsborough; two sisters and two brothers in law, Claudette Machado and her husband Ernie of Dracut and Colleen Petullo and her husband Mike of Kanab, Utah; along with a niece, Tracy and nephews, Adam, David, Michael and Rebel; also several great nieces, great nephews and many friends.
Paul was predeceased by his brother Lee Allard and his longtime companion Norine Fearon.
ALLARD – died in Lowell on April 16, 2017. Mr. Paul R. Allard, resident of Tyngsborough. Relatives and friends may call at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral Thursday morning with a service to be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Tyngsborough Memorial Cemetery.
