Loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother

TYNGSBOROUGH - Mrs. Mary Helen (Grindle) Sheppard, age 89, a resident of Tyngsborough and formerly of Ellsworth, ME and Hudson, NH, died on January 3, 2018, at her home surrounded by the love and presence of her three daughters and church pastor.  She was the wife of the late Edward O. Sheppard.

Born in Ellsworth, ME on November 2, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Harold C. and Mildred S. (Gott) Grindle.

After retirement, she and her husband moved back to Ellsworth, Maine and enjoyed many years until his passing in 1999.  She then moved back to Tyngsborough and became a resident at Brinley Terrace.

Mary was a member of the Evangelical Congregational Church of Tyngsborough for over fifty years where she had also volunteered her time at their thrift shop.

She is survived by four children, Jeffrey C. Trundy and his wife Susie of CA, Marianne Mammino of Tyngsborough, Mildred Lacoy of Litchfield, NH and Kathy Lemire and her husband Kenneth of Tyngsborough; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; also many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

She was also the sister of the late Charles, Elmer and Harriette and mother of the late Stewart Sheppard.

SHEPPARD – Mrs. Mary Helen (Grindle) Sheppard.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service on Friday, Jan. 12, at 11 a.m. at the Evangelical Congregational Church of Tyngsborough, 23 Kendall Rd., Tyngsborough.  A spring burial will take place in Ellsworth, ME at a time to be announced.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a memorial donation in her name to the Memorial Fund, c/o Evangelical Congregation Church of Tyngsborough, P.O.
