Lorraine B. (Simas) Rezendes

Ms. Lorraine B. (Simas) Rezendes, age 83, of Nashua and a former longtime resident of Reading, MA, passed away on April 7, 2017, at Lahey Clinic, surrounded by her family. Lorraine was born in Somerville, MA on August 18, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Joseph F. and Adeline (Mello) Simas and sister of the late Joseph F. Simas Jr. Lorraine worked for Cambridge Savings Bank before joining the MITRE Corporation where she retired after twenty nine years of service. She loved spending time with her daughters, grandchildren and traveling. While living in Nashua, she was an active member of the Immaculate Conception Church. She is survived by two daughters, Diane Samson of Nashua and Judith Rezendes of Nashua and Brussels, Belgium; her former husband, John J. Rezendes of Nashua; two grandchildren, Joseph Samson Jr of Nashua and Nicaela Samson of Pepperell; four cousins, Lorena Vicente of Cambridge, Durval Faria of Azores, Maria Fatima Simas of FL and Herbert Mello of TX; also nieces, nephews and many dear friends.  

Relatives and friends may call at the TYNGSBOROUGH FUNERAL HOME 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.  Funeral Wednesday morning with a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 216 East Dunstable Rd., Nashua.  Burial will follow in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua.  Those wishing may make a memorial donation to the Pine Haven Boys Center Foundation, P.O.
