Charles “Charlie” William Lundgren of Lowell died peacefully on Sunday, April 30, after a long period of failing health. He was born in Boston on October 27, 1938, the son of the late Everett M. and the late Anne L. (Clifford) Lundgren Taylor, and a stepson of the late P. Grafton Taylor. He was the proud Dad of Gregory C. of Maine, Christopher M. and his wife Susan Pizzano of Maynard, Jeffrey P. and his partner Cynthia Keesler of Billerica, and Jennifer M. Trischitta and her husband Paul of Tyngsborough. He was also the proud Papa Chuck of grandson TSgt Jeremy Lundgren, USAF and his wife TSgt Megan Lundgren, USAF and their two children, Kinleigh and Mason, and his granddaughters, SrA Amanda Lundgren, USAF and Molly and Jenna Trischitta.
Charlie grew up in Jamaica Plain and was a graduate of Boston Trade School, where he was captain of its hockey team. As a member of the Boston Skating Club he earned a silver medal in competition. After graduation he moved to North Weymouth with his family and worked as a PBX installer with the N. E. Telephone Company. Over the years, he was a friend of Bill W., a counselor at Anchor House in Plymouth, and a member of the Rhode Island Matadors Drum Corps. Before retiring he worked in the Lowell area as a telecommunications installer. After retirement he enjoyed attending the Lowell Golden Gloves and drum corps competitions. His favorite times were visits with his sons and daughter and grandchildren.
Charlie also leaves behind his devoted sister, Anne L. Fitzgerald Walters and her husband, Gerald Walters of Abington, and his brothers and their wives, Everett M. and Alice Lundgren of Hingham, and James T. and Frances Lundgren of Plympton, and stepsister, Gloria Taylor Weinrebe of Bridgewater. He had many Fitzgerald and Lundgren nieces and nephews: Corinne, Kevin, Michael and Steven, Elizabeth, Tristan, Eve, Erica, Nicholas, Ian, and Gabriel.
